The purpose of new energy vehicles is to save energy and protect the environment, and the power battery contains a lot of harmful metals. Regarding the new energy vehicle giant, BYD has already started the layout of the power lithium battery. BYD's current treatment method is to first entrust dealers to recycle used power lithium batteries. If the battery decay is within a specified range, the batteries removed from the car will be used in a cascade, using them to BYD's home energy storage or charging station. If it can't be reused at all, it will be sent to the material factory for dismantling and recycling, and the raw materials will be reused.
The government can give some support policies at this stage, such as taxation or financial subsidies. However, long-term development still needs to be solved through technological progress. In the future, the state may issue corresponding standards. If there is no battery system with recycling value, production will not be allowed. Therefore, the government and new energy vehicle companies are fully prepared for the future battery scrapping. There is a sound process system for the recycling and disposal of waste batteries, and consumers do not have to worry about this problem.
At the same time, from the perspective of the development stage, the first on-board power lithium batteries put into the market have begun to enter the retirement period, and the first wave of large-scale retirement is coming. The recycling and echelon utilization of power lithium batteries are of great significance to the economy and resource reuse of the whole life cycle of environmental protection. More and more companies in China have begun to study the layout of power lithium battery recycling and echelon utilization industry. In the future, the electric vehicle industry will also work closely with renewable energy. This combination can not only achieve green travel, but also a large amount of renewable energy, which has important economic and environmental significance.
